Peter has been editor for the Standaard newspaper for many years,

after which he became editor of all the newspapers of the VUM/Corelio group.

During his time as editor of NRC Handelsblad in the Netherlands,

he kept his link with the Standaard as regular columnist.

For the moment he lives and works in Dublin where he

has been appointed as CEO of Mediahuis Ireland in 2022.

In the ‘Fakkeltheater’,

with its central location between the many Irish pubs of Antwerp,

Peter will tell us more about Ireland,

about its people, its culture and its politics,

 about the growth from poverty to prosperity

and about Ireland’s position in Europe.
